The design of the Lenovo LOQ draws inspiration from Lenovo’s higher-end Legion series, featuring sharp lines and a durable plastic chassis. While it sits in the budget category, the overall build feels solid and dependable, despite some minor flex in the chassis and a slightly wobbly hinge. Moreover, it can flip up to 180 degrees. Nevertheless, the Lenovo LOQ offers excellent quality for professionals and gamers looking for a reliable, well-built laptop at a reasonable cost.

Its 2.38 kg weight might feel less convenient for frequent travellers. However, for a gaming laptop, this weight is fairly standard, as the hardware is typically more robust compared to regular laptops.

The laptop’s design exudes a premium feel, and its matte finish on the back adds a sleek touch that’s sure to catch your eye. There are two external air vents on the backside which expells hot air out. A camera on/off button on the right side lets you access your webcam instantly.

Display

The Lenovo LOQ packs a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate – which is a notable feature in this budget segment. While the display delivers decent colours and brightness for gaming, the colour accuracy might not be the best for content creators or professionals requiring precise colour grading. Cooling pads provide additional airflow, which helps keep the laptop’s temperature in check, ensuring consistent performance and prolonging the laptop’s longevity during demanding gaming tasks.

Features and Audio

The Lenovo LOQ comes equipped with a 720p webcam featuring a physical privacy shutter, a welcome feature in today’s laptops. However, the webcam’s quality is only decent and struggles in low-light conditions, appearing grainy unless you’re in a well-lit environment like a hotel room. It’s fine for basic video calls or casual streaming, but don’t expect stellar performance in dim settings.

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro features Nahimic Audio by Steelseries, delivering immersive 3D audio with surround sound, night mode, sound tracker, and sound-sharing capabilities. Even when plugged in while gaming, the battery barely charges, increasing by just 1% to 5% during intensive sessions.

For non-gaming tasks, like internet use or streaming, the battery holds up better, but if you’re gaming, expect to rely heavily on the 170W charger for extended play. The Lenovo LOQ features rapid charging, which can boost the battery from 0 to around 70-80% in just 30 minutes, and a full charge takes about 60 minutes. You can enable or disable this feature in Lenovo Vantage, and if rapid charging is turned off, the charging process may take a bit longer.

In September, EA confirmed that Dragon Age: The Veilguard would indeed launch in India and Turkey, but only for PC gamers on Steam. However, just last week, the game’s official Twitter account revealed that console versions would also be available in India.

For PC gamers, Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been available on Steam, with the base game priced at ₹2,999 and the Deluxe Edition at ₹4,699. The delay in the console pre-orders has left fans puzzled, and EA has yet to provide clarity on the issue.

The game was announced in January 2022, and after multiple community playtests and beta tests, the game is finally coming to mobile. Here are more details.

Indus Battle Royale Launch Date Announced

Indus Battle Royale is slated to launch on October 16, 2024, for both Android and iOS devices. The game was announced to launch for PC, Console and Mobile, but, SuperGaming has not announced a release date for PC and console.

In addition to announcing the release date, SuperGaming has released a cinematic trailer that offers a glimpse into the intense combat that awaits players in the world of Virlok. The trailer focuses on Adi, a character who embarks on a quest to collect the rare resource Cosmium while also seeking revenge against his rival, Pokhran.

This tournament became the most viewed event which solely included professional players, breaking previous records for BGMI’s competitive tournaments. Although the Launch Party Battlegrounds Mobile India event in 2021 featuring pro players and streamers, continued to have a higher peak for overall watching, BMPS 2024 marks a significant milestone for competitive play having a pure competitive play.

Over its 154 hours on television, BMPS 2024 achieved an astounding 72.3K average viewership and 11.15 million hours watched. This is just the second time a BGMI tournament has exceeded 10 million hours watched, the first being the iQOO Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021.

The official broadcast on KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS’ YouTube channel saw unprecedented success. The September 29 Hindi-language livestream became the channel’s most popular stream of all time, with 474,500 peak viewers, reflecting a 55% increase from previous streams. Additionally, it became the first BGMI broadcast to cross the 1 million hours watched milestone, cementing its place in Indian esports history.

COD Mobile World Championship 2024 Stage 5 kicked off on October 4 with sixteen qualified teams. The event is taking place at Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta with a $1 million Prize Pool. Here is all you need to know about the COD Mobile WC 2024 Stage 5.

COD Mobile World Championship 2024 Stage 5: Teams, Schedule and Format

Stage 5 is divided into two phases, namely the Swiss Stage and Playoffs. The Swiss Stage, featuring sixteen teams concluded yesterday with the top 8 teams advancing to the Playoffs.

Vitality and Godlike Esports have qualified for CODM WC 2024 Stage 5 through regional challengers (SPS). However, Team Vitality has been eliminated from the tournament and Team Godlike is now playing in the playoffs.

The Playoffs consist of Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals and Grand Finals. All matches will be played in Best-of-five matches, except the grand final which is a Best-of-seven format. Here is the qualified team’s playoff schedule for Today (Oct 5):

According to LetsgrowEsports, there are 2000 available slots for the tournament and it features a Rs 20 Lakh Prize Pool. The tournament’s schedule, structure, participant rules, invited teams list, and prize pool are yet to be made official. We will provide updates as soon as the official announcement is made.

The tournament is expected to offer opportunities for grassroots players and teams. However, there may be limited slots available, so it’s advisable to register as soon as possible once the registration process begins.
