Chinmayi Sripaada has once again found herself at the centre of a social media conversation after her strong response to a Telugu post began drawing attention online.
The exchange started after an X user shared a post featuring a woman and made a remark involving her appearance and how her family members might view her. Chinmayi responded to the post, taking issue with what she saw as the disturbing implication behind the comment.
“A woman dresses a certain way even relatives would have had s*x with her according to Sir, here,” the Bombay-born singer wrote in her response. She went on to criticise the mindset behind such remarks, saying that people with such attitudes could be “dangerous to every female”, including women within their own families.

Chinmayi Sripaada’s Journey in the Film Industry
Chinmayi is already a familiar voice to audiences across South Indian cinema. Over the years, she has built a career as a playback singer and dubbing artist, working across several Indian languages and becoming associated with a number of popular films and songs.
Apart from singing, her work as a dubbing artist has also made her a recognisable name in the industry. She has lent her voice to several actresses and has remained active in different parts of the film business throughout her career.
Outside cinema, she is particularly active on X, where the singer regularly reacts to news, viral posts and conversations surrounding the entertainment industry and society. The 41-year-old has also been outspoken about issues involving misogyny, harassment, abuse and the way women are treated both online and offline.
Beyond her work in the film industry, Chinmayi is also an entrepreneur. She is the founder and CEO of the translation services company Blue Elephant, skincare platform Skinroute, formerly known as Isle Of Skin, and the medi-spa Deep Skin Dialogues, which operates in Chennai and Hyderabad.
Chinmay, better known as Chinmayee, is married to Rahul Ravindran (director of The Girlfriend). The couple shared twins, a son and a daughter. She calls herself a “Certified Esthetician” on Instagram.
