Once again, Natural Nani has showcased his prowess with the latest film “Dasara.” Directed and written by Srikanth Odela, the movie premiered on March 30 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. “Dasara” has proven to be a significant success for South Indian star Nani, accumulating a substantial $2 million at the US Box Office and achieving a worldwide gross of Rs 110 Crores.

Set in a village named Veerlapalli, behind the Singareni Coal mines of Godavarkhani, Telangana, the film depicts political and social issues around women. The film received a great response from the audience as well as the critics, needless to mention it’s a ‘Never-seen-before-climax.’
Nani takes on the role of a guy named Dharani, who steals coal and makes a living along with his friends. The village has critical issues with alcohol and corrupt politicians. Dharani loves Vennela since his childhood, but he realizes Suri and Vennela are together. As a result, he gives up on Vennela and lets the duo get married. The marriage had complications as Vennela’s mother would not agree to get her daughter married to a coal thief.
Dharani orchestrates Suri’s victory in a local cricket match to secure a job at the renowned “Silk” bar, following an announcement made by the village’s political adversaries. However, their plan takes an unexpected turn when the political rivals engineer a confrontation at the bar, leading to Dharani and Suri’s arrest. Rajanna intervenes, aiding their release from the police station, and they subsequently persuade Rajanna to enter the electoral arena. Rajanna emerges victorious in the elections, and plans for Suri’s marriage are set in motion.
Tragedy strikes on the day of Suri’s wedding to Vennela, as Suri and his friends meet an untimely demise, leaving Dharani and Vennela in profound grief. In a surprising turn of events, Dharani embarks on an investigation into the mysterious murders of his friends, fundamentally altering the course of the narrative, a crucial aspect unveiled in the movie.

The digital rights of the film have been acquired by Netflix. The film is scheduled to be released on Netflix on 27 April 2023 in Telugu and dubbed versions of other languages.
