The Zombie Reddy franchise is back with a new chapter, and this time, Teja Sajja is joined by two major additions to the cast. The makers have officially announced Zombie Reddy 2 – NXT LVL, bringing together Teja Sajja, Kannada star Upendra and Shanaya Kapoor for the upcoming Telugu zombie entertainer.
The title announcement has already created buzz around the sequel, particularly with the film being mounted on a larger scale under the People Media Factory banner. TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad are producing the project, while Suparn S Varma is directing it.
The sequel brings a new creative combination behind the camera. Suparn S Varma is directing the film, while Prasanth Varma, who directed the original Zombie Reddy, is credited as its creator. Hussain Dalal, Abbas Dalal, Prasanth Varma and Suparn S Varma have been credited as writers.
TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad are producing the film under the People Media Factory banner.
What Are Upendra and Shanaya Kapoor Known For?
Upendra is one of the most recognisable names in Kannada cinema, known for films such as A, Upendra, Super and Kabzaa. Apart from acting, he has also built a reputation as a filmmaker, writer and screenwriter, with several of his projects known for their unconventional storytelling and distinctive themes. His addition to Zombie Reddy 2 – NXT LVL brings a major Kannada cinema presence to the Telugu project.
Shanaya Kapoor is known for her work in Hindi cinema and her association with the younger generation of Bollywood performers. She made her acting debut with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyaan and has also been part of projects that have kept her in the spotlight as one of the emerging faces of Hindi entertainment. Her addition to Zombie Reddy 2 – NXT LVL adds another cross-industry element to the sequel.
Teja Sajja, meanwhile, returns to the franchise after leading the original Zombie Reddy. Released in 2021, the Telugu zombie comedy was directed by Prasanth Varma and also featured Anandhi and Daksha Nagarkar.
The movie is set to release sometime in 2027.
