The Skyesports Souvenir has returned in 2023 featuring Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO). This year, the prestigious esports IP is set to expand internationally, featuring six countries fighting for victory. Team India will be determined in the competition through the Skyesports Souvenir – India Qualifiers, which will happen from Sept. 22 to 24.

Four teams have been directly invited into the India Qualifiers. These are as follows:

  • Gods Reign
  • Marcos Gaming
  • Reckoning Esports
  • Revenant Esports

Commenting on the tournament, Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO, of Skyesports, said, “After a thrilling end to India’s first franchised esports league, the Skyesports Masters, we are excited to announce our next official Counter-Strike tournament, the Skyesports Souvenir. This competition is a testament to our goal of building a roadmap for Counter-Strike esports in the country. It will also give an opportunity to teams to compete against international teams as we bring Counter-Strike action from Skyesports to more regions.”

The four teams are set to lock horns across a Round-Robin format to determine the winners. All matches will be livestreamed on the Skyesports YouTube, Facebook, Loco, and Glance channels. The schedule for the matches is as follows:

The organization is set to represent the country at the LCQ, which will take place as a LAN event, against the top teams of the world for a slot at the Brawl Stars World Finals 2023.

Revenant Esports boasts a formidable Brawl Stars lineup, including Hero-x, Ashmit “Sergeant Clash” Raj Singh, Prashant “Trashant” Malik, and Jerome “Response” Kuek Jiaen. Skyesports Masters: Velocity Gaming, the Esports organization based in Hyderabad, renowned for its excellence in the PC esports realm, has been unveiled as the ultimate franchise for Skyesports Masters, India’s most extensive gaming tournament.

The Skyesports Masters represents India’s inaugural franchised Esports league, unfolding in two phases: the League stage and the LAN Playoffs. The League Stage is slated to span several weeks from July 8 to Aug. 17, where the eight teams will engage in a double round-robin format. However, only the top four teams will progress to the Playoffs, scheduled as an on-ground tournament on Aug. 26 and 27, ultimately crowning the first-ever Skyesports Masters champions.

Commenting on entering the Skyesports Masters, Manoj Kasyap, the Founder and CEO of Velocity Gaming, said, “Counter-Strike has always been an interesting esports title, and while it hasn’t been able to grow exponentially in India, I believe the Skyesports Masters is the first step to making that happen. Skyesports has also managed to make this event very viable in the long run for franchised teams. I believe this is the first time in Indian esports something like this is happening. Velocity Gaming Signed as Final Franchised Team in Skyesports Masters

Velocity Gaming has prioritized experience as it prepares to unleash a fight for the Rs. 2,00,00,000 prize pool. The roster consists of the following players:

The roster is primarily composed of players scouted from the Skyesports Masters cafe qualifiers. Velocity Gaming acquired the squad of RDX which won the Kolkata cafe qualifier. The cafe qualifiers are a grassroots-level initiative by Skyesports which happened across 20 cities of the country to give a boost to CS: GO and scout for potential talent.

Headlining the experienced roster is KevinR, the veteran U.S. import who has been competing professionally since 2004 and has numerous international accolades to his name. The rest of the team is also highly accomplished as the squad has earned several top-three finishes in different tournaments, including competitions by ESL and the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM).

Enigma Gaming, headquartered in Mumbai and housing some of India’s most skilled esports athletes, has been introduced as the seventh franchise in India’s most extensive gaming competition, the Skyesports Masters CSGO. The organization is poised to reveal its star-studded roster, including international imports.

The Skyesports Masters is scheduled to commence on July 8, with the League Stage extending until August 17. Eight franchised teams will fiercely compete for a slice of the Rs. 2,00,00,000 prize pool and the coveted bragging rights. The top four teams from the League Stage will progress to the Playoffs, a grand on-ground spectacle anticipated to unfold in front of a live audience.

Enigma Gaming Makes its Way to Rs 2 Crore Skyesports Masters CSGO

Enigma Gaming is set to unveil its roster soon. The organization has its sights set on conquering the Skyesports Masters from the first year itself with a team consisting of national players as well as international imports. Two of the players will be from the Skyesports Masters cafe qualifiers, an open-for-all grassroots-level initiative which happened across 20 Indian cities. The mixed roster will not only increase the competitiveness of the Skyesports Masters but also give a chance for new players to shine.

Commenting on entering the tournament, Enigma Gaming’s Founder and CEO, Aryaman Wasan, said, “Counter-Strike has been a pioneer for the global esports industry. Unfortunately, it wasn’t able to grow in India in the same manner because of the lack of development of esports in the country over the past two decades. With a new version coming up and the long-term vision of the Skyesports Masters, we are here to support Counter-Strike for the years to come.”
