Valve has recently revealed a new model of Steam Deck with an OLED display and several other features. The most notable feature is the boost in battery life with Valve has estimated a 25% improvement in the battery capacity. Gamers must note that this is not Steam Deck 2 and we may not see Steam Deck 2 until 2025 as stated by the company.
This OLED Steam Deck model introduces new features and replaces some in the previous iteration of the console. Valve has released two new models of Steam Deck OLED with varying storage capacities, 512 GB and 1 TB. However, the company has not revealed any information regarding its availability in India. So, in this article, we will discuss when and where Indians can buy the new Steam Deck OLED gaming console.
According to Rishi Alwani, The Steam Deck OLED is expected to arrive in India unofficially next week via grey market and parallel import outlets. In the worst-case scenario, it is expected to hit the Indian market by the end of the month or early December.
The official price of the handheld gaming console is $549 for the 512 GB variant and $649 for the 1 TB variant. Converting it into INR, we may expect the 512 GB variant would cost between Rs 55-60000 while the later variant would charge between Rs 65-70000. This is a probabilistic price range and not the exact price while you may get discounts in offline stores.

The brand-new variant will come with a 7.4-inch HDR OLED screen which replaces the 7-inch LCD touchscreen display on the original version. A noteworthy improvement is the use of a new 50Wh battery, which outperforms the previous model’s 40Wh battery.
Unfortunately, the current edition does not provide any performance improvements over its predecessor. The new OLED screen, on the other hand, has a refresh rate of 90Hz while preserving a native resolution of 1280×800 pixels. It also has the Wi-Fi 6E module, which enables up to three times quicker download speeds or increased performance when online gaming.
The general form factor is essentially the same, however, the new Steam Deck OLED is around 30 grams lighter than its predecessor. It also claims to be cooler than the original Steam Deck, which was known for running hot, owing to updated thermal systems.
Furthermore, the company has released a limited edition Steam Deck OLED with a transparent design. This model is only available to consumers in the United States and Canada, and it comes in a 1TB format and it costs $679.
The original 64 GB and 512 GB devices have been retired, with the 256 GB LCD model becoming the new base model. As a result, the 256GB LCD variant will be priced at $399 (about Rs 33,000), down from $529 (roughly Rs 45,000). Unfortunately, there is no information on its availability in the Indian market at this time.
Naughty Dog has announced the release of Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PlayStation 5. The announcement came officially after a few reliable leaks surfaced on the Internet and as stated in the leaks, Naughty Dog has confirmed that the game is set to be launched on January 19, 2024.
Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is a sequel and revamped version of the original game which was launched on PS4 in 2020. Naughty Dog also announced more details on the new upcoming release on PlayStation 5 along with an announcement trailer.

Notably, owners of The Last of Us Part II on PS4 can upgrade to a digital edition of The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PS5 for $10 USD. Part II Remastered will also support the import of saved files.
However, Naughty Dog has made clear that upgrades for PS4 disc copies are only available if you own a PS5 with a disc drive. “Owners of PS4 disc copies must insert them into the PS5 every time they want to download or play the PS5 digital version,” states Naughty Dog on their blog.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered was created to allow you to delve further into the game’s creation and mechanics. The title highlights are headlined by a new roguelike “No Return” mode, which sounds very involved. You will get to select a character from a group, then you strive to survive in “randomized encounters”—it’s unclear whether real maps are randomized—with the goal of winning meta-progression to improve your character’s skills, unlock cosmetics, and compete on global daily challenge leaderboards.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered will have improved graphics, such as native 4K output1 in Fidelity Mode, 1440p upscaled to 4K1 in Performance Mode, an Unlocked Framerate option for VRR-capable TVs, increased texture resolution, increased Level-of-Detail distances, improved shadow quality, animation sampling rate, and more.
The company is also introducing behind-the-scenes elements, including a slew of comments from various creatives, including voice actors, and many additional “lost levels” that allow you to go through regions eliminated from the original Part II release.
A speedrun challenge level, elevated photo-taking capability, extra skins for various characters, and extended guitar playing will broaden the sound options and allow you to host opportunistic mini-concerts in various places are also on the way.
Pre-orders for the game will be available from December 5 at the PlayStation Store directly in select markets like the US, UK and more. The game is available in a couple of editions including the standard version (base game) and the W.L.F. Edition. The W.L.F edition is priced higher than the standard edition and will come in a SteelBook case and include four enamel pins, a clothing patch, and physical versions of 47 trading cards from inside the game.
The developers have not revealed the remastered version for the PC.
The Pokemon Unite India Open 2023, which commenced on November 6 with 43 teams participating in the Open Qualifier, is approaching its conclusion. Pokemon Unite has cultivated a robust community in India and stands as one of the prominent MOBA games in the country. Initiating on November 8, the Pokemon Unite India Open 2023 Playoffs will showcase eight teams that qualified from the Open Qualifiers and two invited teams. The playoffs adopt a double-elimination bracket format, with all matches following a Best-of-three structure, except for the Grand Finals, which will be a Best-of-five match.

The Game Awards, the most important night in the gaming calendar is approaching soon. Considering it’s very near, the host has revealed the nominees for The Game Awards 2023. Often referred to as the “Oscars of Gaming,” The Gaming Awards is an annual awards ceremony honouring achievements in the video game industry and this is the tenth year edition of TGA.
The Gaming Awards is created and hosted by game journalist, Geoff Keighley, and the voting has already started for this year’s award ceremony. 2023 has been a tremendous year for gaming lovers, with the release of blockbuster titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Starfield, Baldur’s Gate 3, and others. The newly released Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been nominated in numerous categories, including Game of the Year, alongside BG3, Resident Evil 4, Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
This year has also seen the greatest indie games, with notable nominees including Tour de Pizza’s Pizza Tower for best debut indie game and Lies of P for best visual direction.

Several gamers are unhappy with why Starfield did not make it into the list of GOTY category, while others believe its inclusion in the praised category is unnecessary. The title was only nominated for Best RPG, although Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush was nominated for a slew of awards, including Best Action Game.
Although TGA is criticized for selecting the 2D video game Super Mario Bros. Wonder over Xbox Starfield, some are against it. Starfield received few unfavorable reviews in terms of huge loading screens but some do feel that it could have been nominated in the place of Super Mario game. Moreover, all the games listed in the GOTY category are iterations (or sequels) of established video games and if Starfield had made it, it would be the solo game without any predecessors.
The Game Awards features a total of 31 categories in which to vote, including 112 different games, people, teams, and events from various genres and platforms. Prior to revealing this year’s candidates, the host, Keighley, indicated on X (formerly Twitter) that he had no involvement in the voting process. The applicants are chosen by a global panel of 120 media and influencer sources.
In terms of most nominated publisher in 2023, Nintendo had the most nominations (15) throughout its combined portfolio, followed by Sony Interactive Entertainment/PlayStation with 13, Xbox (including Bethesda and Blizzard) with 10, and Epic Games with nine.

The developers launched the song, titled ‘Jeeto,’ on October 31, featuring the vocals of popular Indian playback singer Benny Dayal. Alongside the theme song, written by 1080G, the official video showcases renowned BGMI content creators, including Mavi, Clutchgod, Kaashvi, Shadow, Dynamo, and Thug, energetically participating with Benny Dayal, incorporating their favourite in-game catchphrases.

Hello Neighbour 2: Definitive Edition

Hello Neighbour 2 is the sequel to Hello Neighbour, a survival horror stealth game, and it was initially named Hello Guest. The title was later revealed to be the Pre-Alpha of Hello Neighbor 2 on July 23, 2020. The full version of the game was released in December 22 for PlayStation 5 and PS4.
The game follows Quentin, a reporter who arrives in Raven Brooks to write about the vanishing of Aaron and Mya, but he soon discovers that Mr. Peterson has taken shelter in the closed museum, which means he needs to sneak inside the homes of Raven Brooks’ other residents in search of keys in order to get in. Quentin would soon learn about the town’s hidden mysteries and avoid a mysterious person known as “The Guest” as he progressed.
The game received unfavourable reviews though critics praised the story aspects and art style. The game is available at Rs 2997.
Neon Abyss Deluxe Edition
Neon Abyss is a side-scrolling shooter video game with gameplay features similar to dungeon crawlers and platform games. Players take on the role of a member of the “Grim Squad,” a gang founded by a man identifying himself as Hades, the Greek deity of the Underworld; other characters may be acquired as the game proceeds or by purchasing downloadable content (DLC). The Grim Squad’s mission, which begins in a neon-lit nightclub, is to explore the Abyss, a subterranean location, through a succession of randomly generated levels, in order to hunt down and destroy the New Gods and their followers. Players can use teleportation stones to return to previously visited areas in order to get access to locked chests or items.

Insomniac Games, the American video game publisher is a part of PlayStation Studios. The company has gained a lot of popularity in association with Marvel. Their three Spider-Man games have redefined all the previous games in the gaming world and they have received many awards for their work. Now, Insomniac is working on Marvel’s Wolverine.
Insomniac’s latest Spider-Man 2 game has received enormous popularity and huge appreciation from the community. The game was the best-selling video game on PS5 in October 2023. Now, all eyes are turned towards the Wolverine game which is currently in development and people already have plenty of questions for Insomniac games like a probable crossover with Spider-Man in Wolverine.
Insomniac Games’ Latest Game Marvel’s Wolverine Currently Underway
One speculation had said that Wolverine will be released next year (with the possibility of a 2025 release), and now the profile page of a concept artist claims that this is still the case, with the Bend game now slated for 2025.
Nothing has ever been revealed of Wolverine other than a teaser trailer, which does not show his face but does show concept art. However, because this is concept art, there is no assurance that the final design will be equivalent – especially considering he resembles Hugh Jackman.

Certainly, while artists may not have a say in significant decisions regarding the release dates of games, they are likely to be informed about the anticipated release timeline. Assuming development commenced before the game’s revelation in 2021, a two-year release timeframe doesn’t appear unusual, aligning with speculation from Jeff Grubb.
Grubb characterized the comic book license as a ‘hard R,’ indicating a high level of graphic content, and described the game as a semi-open world title, distinguishing it from fully open-world titles like Spider-Man.
While these details seem plausible, another concept art profile discovered on ResetEra hints at the game involving elements of ‘sci-fi and apocalyptic’ themes.
Hence, we should not jump to conclusions about whether the game will be released in 2024 or not. All we have to do is wait for the official announcement from Sony or Insomniac Games. The game is currently under development for PS5 by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel and PlayStation
