The Game Awards 2023, considered to be the Oscars in the Gaming industry, concluded by celebrating the best releases of this year and also announced tons of news for upcoming releases. The awards show has presented a total of 32 award categories recognizing the best and brightest titles in gaming. Giving the best award to an extensive game library which consists of many better games is not easy, but Geoff Keighley and his panel made it.

While Alan Wake 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 secured the top spots with each getting many nominations and the coveted Game of The Year was won by Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3. Japanese tech giant, Sony launched the next iteration of its virtual reality medium, PlayStation VR 2 earlier in February this year. The new headset console has been released with an improved display, Eye-Tracking Technology, New Controllers and better performance. The device was available at retail stores and PS Store, however, it has not made it to India to date.

According to Indian Games Market Analyst, Rishi Alwani, PSVR 2 will soon be coming to India. Apparently, the console is coming to India before the Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition. After a few hours of Rishi’s tweet, the console went live on Amazon India.

The tweet made by Piyush turned out to be true with the console listing on Amazon India. However, Rishi Alwani is sceptical about the seller who is new in the market. He mentioned that the console is a grey product being preloaded into the market ahead of the official launch.

Sony is yet to announce the console launch in India. This is certainly thrilling for enthusiasts of virtual reality, considering that the PSVR 2 is among the top contenders in the field and boasts an extensive library of games. Nonetheless, given the previous issues encountered with the deliveries of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition in the country, there might be some reservations among players. An X (formerly Twitter) user, Devang Chhabria has replied to Rishi Alwani with a promotional marketing image of the console where it had the Indian price mentioned on it. The console with no games is reportedly available for Rs 57,999 and the Horizon bundle will cost Rs 62,000.

However, as per the Amazon listing, the PSVR 2 console costs Rs 54,990 while the Horizon Bundle costs Rs 57,990. However, the stocks are very limited and we may expect other retailers to get it soon. It is highly recommended to wait for an official statement from Sony India or wait until other stores list this up. Spending such huge money on a grey product would not be worth it, right? Rockstar Games has finally released the much-awaited first trailer of GTA 6, the next instalment in the action-adventure video game series. The trailer was released ahead of its schedule as it was leaked, the company pushed the release well before. The game will act as the sequel to 2013’s GTA V, the second-best-selling video game of all time.

The next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto Series will take place in Vice City, a map close to every gamer’s heart. GTA 6 trailer 1 shows off the game’s setting in Miami, and it prominently features a female protagonist, Lucia. She seems to be initiating a series of criminal activities alongside her partner. Although Rockstar Games has not disclosed the plot or storyline, the soundtrack featured in the trailer is “Long is a Long Road” by Tom Petty.

Rockstar Games Launched GTA 6 Trailer Ahead of its Schedule

The trailer was leaked online and the company has rolled out the trailer ahead of the scheduled time. The trailer which runs for 1 minute 30 seconds, has hit 50 million on YouTube within 10 hours of its release. Watch the trailer below:

The visuals or graphics will be top-notch as seen in the trailer and much to its hype, the female lead will be the most highlighting point of the game. Portraying the complete modern American hedonistic atmosphere of Vice City, featuring wildlife and numerous NPCs, the trailer then introduces the second protagonist, Jason. It highlights the close relationship between Jason and Lucia as they unite in a Bonnie and Clyde-style partnership to engage in criminal activities. The trailer concludes by unveiling the release date timeline for GTA 6, set for 2025.

A brief description of the game has been shared by the company in a press release, “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”

The game is confirmed to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. While it is expected to eventually arrive on PCs, an official release timeline has not been disclosed as of now. Drawing parallels with the release pattern of GTA 5, it’s worth noting that there was a gap of more than a year between the console and PC launches for that game.

Remnant: From the Ashes and its sequel, Remnant 2, have been discreetly added to both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. These new games had not been announced before their addition to the game pass but the move was highly welcomed. As both games have good records and reviews, their addition seems valuable to the users of Game Pass.

Gunfire Games’ Remnant: From the Ashes and Remnant 2 are third-person survival action shooter titles, which are often described as Souls-like shooters and are now available on Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass. Remnant: From the Ashes was released in 2019 while its sequel was released recently in July 2023.

Neither of these titles was included in Microsoft’s unveiling of the upcoming Game Pass releases for the second half of November, which highlighted Persona 5 Tactica, Dune: Spice Wars, and Rollerdome.

The first game in the Remnant series received generally favourable reviews and by December 2021, it had surpassed 3 million units in sales with two additional DLCs. Its sequel, Remnant 2 was announced during the Game Awards 2022, and much to the exceptional expectations, the game outperformed its prequel both in terms of sales and reviews.

Remnant 2 marked its first high record by having sold more than a million copies in the first week of release in the United States. Nintendo and Microsoft each launched Starfield and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at a price point of $70. Joining these releases are other $70 games from this year, such as Forspoken, Dead Island 2, Hogwarts Legacy, and Wild Heart.

Unexpectedly, Dragon’s Dogma 2 comes with a higher price tag on PC in India compared to its console counterparts, a deviation from the usual trend. Typically, game publishers tend to offer AAA games at a lower cost on PC, often reducing prices by at least Rs. 500 to Rs. 1000. However, there has been a noticeable increase in regional game prices in recent years, exemplified by the notably high pricing of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

This development follows several months after Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto expressed his belief that video game prices were “too low” during the Tokyo Game Show in September. At the event, Tsujimoto suggested that raising game prices would be a “healthy option” for the industry.

PlayStation Plus users will get new games for free every month as part of their Essential tier plan. As November month is ending today, Sony has announced PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for December and as usual, it includes three games. These games are downloadable to all PS Plus subscribers including Essential, Extra and Deluxe as the Game Catalogue will be available to the latter two tiers.

The three games on PlayStation Plus December Monthly Games include Lego 2K Drive: a classic Lego-based racing game, Powerwash Simulator: an FPP simulator Game from Square Enix, and Sable: an Open-world game. These games will be available to download starting December 5, Tuesday.
