PlayStation is returning with a major double showcase this September, with two State of Play broadcasts scheduled to air back-to-back. The first event will bring updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners, followed immediately by a dedicated State of Play Japan presentation focused on upcoming games from Japan and Asia.
The main State of Play will also feature one major confirmed game. PlayStation has announced that the broadcast will conclude with an extended look at the vast world of Square Enix’s upcoming next chapter in the FF7 saga.

Games Confirmed for the event:
The first State of Play will feature updates from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners, although Sony has not yet announced the full game line-up. Final Fantasy VII Revelation is the biggest confirmed attraction so far and will receive an extended showcase at the end of the presentation.
Immediately afterwards, State of Play Japan will take over, with Yuki Kaji returning as host. The second broadcast will offer deeper looks at upcoming games from studios in Japan and Asia, including gameplay footage, announcements and other updates.

Fans can watch both presentations live on PlayStation’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. The main State of Play will be broadcast in English with Japanese subtitles available, while State of Play Japan will air in Japanese with English subtitles.
With two showcases covering global PlayStation partners as well as Japanese and Asian developers, September’s event could deliver a packed evening of announcements for PS5 players.
