Rockstar Games CEO Strauss Zelnick himself hinted at this possibility, suggesting, “You could imagine all the NPCs becoming really interesting and fun.”

Another tantalizing rumour claims NPCs will remember your past actions and decisions, affecting their future interactions with you. Imagine forging unique relationships based on your choices, adding a layer of personal consequence to your gameplay.

Leaks also whisper about improved traffic flow, with vehicles navigating more realistically instead of the random behaviour seen in previous instalments. Imagine a bustling city with a pulse, adding to the overall immersion.

However, it’s important to remember that these rumours remain unconfirmed and they will be seen after the game’s launch.

The first official trailer, with over 176 million views on YouTube, is a testament to the excitement surrounding the game. The highly anticipated GTA 6 trailer throws in playful winks to real-life Florida wackiness. From gators cooling off in pools to car-top twerking, these humorous nods satirize the sunshine state’s quirky reputation while adding a layer of familiarity to the fictional world. Of course, leaks haven’t been smooth sailing for GTA 6. The infamous September 2022 leak of 90 gameplay videos caused a stir, leading to the arrest of an 18-year-old hacker.

Despite the leaks, anticipation continues to boil. The game boasts two protagonists, Jason and Lucia (the series’ first female lead since 2000), and takes place in the sun-soaked state of Leonida, inspired by Florida.

While the exact date remains TBA, GTA 6 is slated for release in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
