Esports in India have risen to a great extent with the BGMI (former PUBGM) esports scene. However, after the recent conclusion of BMPS 2023, several teams have started shuffling, disbanding their rosters and acquiring new ones. In a similar move, one of the fan-favourite teams in India, Team Soul has disbanded its roster. As per recent reports, the organization is set to acquire Blind Esport’s former roster for their new challenges in the coming year.
Team Soul is an Indian esports organization that competes under the umbrella of S8UL Esports. MortaL, Thug, and Goldy are the team’s owners and was created as a result of 8Bit and Team SouL collab. Both organizations hold much recognition in the community as they have been on the scene since the early days of PUBG Mobile Esports in India.
They have grown enormously both in terms of popularity and revenue. Moreover, there have been many changes in their competitive roster, especially in Team Soul. If the new reports are true, we have a new roster for Soul Esports.
Team Soul to Acquire Blind Esports Former BGMI Lineup: Details

After the conclusion of BMPS 2023 in which they ended in fifth place, the organization has decided to part ways with the coach Amit. As reports surfaced on the internet, IGL Omega wanted to stay with Amit and did not want Goblin in playing 4. According to Sid Joshi, the org wanted Goblin in playing 4 and wanted to run under a new coach but none of the other players except Goblin are ready. Hence, four members, Omega, Hector, Akshat and Neyo left Team Soul and Goblin stood in his position.

Recent reports claim that Team Soul is all set to acquire the former Blind Esports’ BGMI roster. Blind Esports which acquired Global Esports’ BGMI roster in April 2023 along with Spower had been dominant in many tournaments including the official events. The team had marked a good standard in the community with their dominant performance regularly. The recently concluded BMPS 2023 was won by Team Blind and bagged Rs 40 lakhs prize money.
It’s surprising to see why Blind dropped this roster having such good consistency and dominance in the current scenario. Team XSpark owner, Scout told in a recent live stream that this Blind roster was provided a chance to join XSpark until Team Soul came in with the bid and they chose Team Soul.
The joining of Blind Esports in Soul is confirmed via Scout’s statements and we are yet to see the official announcement from the org soon.
After the completion of the recent Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series 2023, there has been a lot going on among the organizations. Reshuffles, player farewells, roster changes and many more are taking place with more set to happen in the coming days. As part of the roster shuffles, one of the dominating teams in the BGMI esports community this year, Gladiators Esports bid adieu to its roster today.
The team which entered the scene by acquiring Chemin Esports in June 2023, has now disbanded its roster. In the last seven months, the team has created a standard by winning multiple tournaments since the relaunch of BGMI. The lineup consists of an ex-chemin roster including Destro, DeltaPG, Shogun, and Justin. The achievements of Gladiators Esports are exceptional and their domination is proven by their victories in BGIS 2023, BGMS Season 2, Nodwin BGMI Champions Cup and top 3 places in several other tournaments.
Earlier this announcement, Destro, considered as the ‘trophy magnet’ stated that Gladiators esports will continue with the same roster for the next three years. However, the organization has decided to part ways with the current roster and the reason is unknown.
Insomniac Games did have a fantastic year with the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 this year, however, they are having a bad ending in 2023. Recently, the developer has become the victim of a cyber security attack. A ransomware group named Rhysida reportedly hacked the developer and posted the details which they obtained as proof.
According to Cyber Daily, Rhysida has given Insomniac seven days before publishing all it obtained, but the organization has also put the data up for auction, with a starting price of 50 bitcoins (just over $2 million). The collected data included details about Wolverine Game, which is speculated to be released in 2024, as well as internal emails, files, and personal documents of Insomniac employees. One document reportedly belongs to Peter Parker voice actor Yuri Lowenthal.
In total, the data comes in at nearly 1.7 terabytes in size. A new leak revealed more details about Wolverine, especially gameplay footage. The leak also revealed the roadmap of Insomniac Games in the coming years.

Insomniac Games has not released any details regarding the Wolverine project except a teaser. The released leak depicts battle as well as Wolverine climbing up and over walls and knocking up villains with his distinctive adamantium claws.

The three-day-long finals of Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS 2023) came to an end with Team Blind emerging victorious in the tournament in front of a 15,000 live audience and millions online. The team secured a total of Rs 40 lakhs prize money from the humongous Rs 1 Crore prize pool.
The Grand Finals of BMPS Season 2 made a significant presence in the Indian esports community with millions watching its live stream along with a huge crowd at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad. It had set a massive record by becoming the biggest esports tournament ever in India to date.

EntityxVST secured 158 points, although they didn’t secure any chicken dinners. Despite initially being positioned at 12th after Day 2, fan-favourite Team Soul made a remarkable comeback on Day 3 by claiming two chicken dinners, propelling them into the top 5 with a total of 158 points and 2 chicken dinners. Demonstrating consistent gameplay, 8BitxCS secured the sixth position with 140 points, including 2 chicken dinners. GlitchxReborn earned the seventh spot with 134 points, which included 68 finish points. Revenant Esports garnered 131 points and managed to secure 1 chicken dinner as part of their commendable efforts.
The tournament witnessed a total of 96 invited teams in the League Stage and only the above sixteen teams have made it to the Grand Stage of the tournament. It was held at EKA Arena with a live audience where the crowd came in huge numbers with the final day hitting a footfall of nearly 15,000 spectators.
To conclude, BMPS 2023 is a splendid tournament which proves the competition in the BGMI esports industry especially when newly formed teams like GlitchXReborn and Hydra putting up strong fights against the existing dominant teams. Team Godlike had a bad experience in this tournament as well in recent times and their coach, Ghatak has left the org after their elimination from the tournament.

Japanese tech giant, Sony launched the next iteration of its virtual reality medium, PlayStation VR 2 earlier in February this year. The new headset console has been released with an improved display, Eye-Tracking Technology, New Controllers and better performance. The device was available at retail stores and PS Store, however, it has not made it to India to date.
According to Indian Games Market Analyst, Rishi Alwani, PSVR 2 will soon be coming to India. Apparently, the console is coming to India before the Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition. After a few hours of Rishi’s tweet, the console went live on Amazon India.

The tweet made by Piyush turned out to be true with the console listing on Amazon India. However, Rishi Alwani is sceptical about the seller who is new in the market. He mentioned that the console is a grey product being preloaded into the market ahead of the official launch.

An X (formerly Twitter) user, Devang Chhabria has replied to Rishi Alwani with a promotional marketing image of the console where it had the Indian price mentioned on it. The console with no games is reportedly available for Rs 57,999 and the Horizon bundle will cost Rs 62,000.
However, as per the Amazon listing, the PSVR 2 console costs Rs 54,990 while the Horizon Bundle costs Rs 57,990. However, the stocks are very limited and we may expect other retailers to get it soon. Google has introduced Gemini as its most advanced and expansive AI model, embodying the initial vision set forth with the establishment of Google DeepMind earlier this year. As stated earlier,

Google has introduced the Pixel Feature Drop for December 2023, incorporating the integration of Gemini Nano into the Pixel 8 Pro. ESL India has released a short teaser announcing the event’s open qualifier, titled Snapdragon Mobile Conquest Open and its prize pool. The next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto Series will take place in Vice City, a map close to every gamer’s heart. GTA 6 trailer 1 shows off the game’s setting in Miami, and it prominently features a female protagonist, Lucia. She seems to be initiating a series of criminal activities alongside her partner. Portraying the complete modern American hedonistic atmosphere of Vice City, featuring wildlife and numerous NPCs, the trailer then introduces the second protagonist, Jason. It highlights the close relationship between Jason and Lucia as they unite in a Bonnie and Clyde-style partnership to engage in criminal activities. The trailer concludes by unveiling the release date timeline for GTA 6, set for 2025.
A brief description of the game has been shared by the company in a press release, “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
